Why FKM rubber
Most rubber watch straps are silicone. Silicone is soft, cheap to mould and a magnet for dust and lint. FKM is a fluorine-based rubber used in watchmaking because it stands up to water, sweat, sunlight and skin oils without going tacky or fading. It holds its shape and it holds its colour.
It costs more to make. We think the difference is obvious the first time you wear one.
Why the clasp matters
Every strap comes with a 316L stainless steel leaf-spring deployant clasp: the folding kind you find on a good watch bracelet, with fine adjustment built in. It is the part you notice first, and the part cheaper straps leave out.
Choose it in Silver, Black, Gold or Rose Gold to suit the watch it is going on.
Cut to your wrist
Not small, medium or large. A cut-to-size strap is trimmed to your own wrist, and the clasp carries a fine adjustment for the half sizes in between. It is the difference between a strap that fits and a strap that nearly fits.
