A simple guide to getting the perfect fit
A Made Straps Cut-to-Size (CTS) rubber strap gives you a clean, tailored fit without the need for multiple adjustment holes.
Each CTS strap features pre-marked cutting grooves, allowing you to trim the strap to suit your wrist before finishing it with our deployant clasp.
If you've never sized a CTS strap before, don't worry. The process is simple.

What's Included?
Every Made Straps CTS strap kit includes:

Spring bar tool
The spring bar tool is included with your CTS strap set, so there's no need to purchase one separately.
You'll also need:

A soft surface, such as a microfibre cloth or mouse mat

Sharp scissors or a precision craft knife
-
A cutting mat or suitable protective surface if using a blade
How to Size Your CTS Strap
1. Test the Fit
Attach the strap to your watch using the quick-release spring bars.
Place the watch face-down on a soft surface and wrap the strap around your wrist. Bring both ends together underneath your wrist and position the clasp where you want it to sit.
Don't cut anything yet.
Tip
Leave an extra segment on each side during your first fitting. It's always better to trim a little more than to cut too much.
2. Cut Along the Groove
Once you're happy with the fit, decide how many segments need to be removed.
Use sharp scissors or a precision blade to cut cleanly along the moulded groove.
Take your time. The cut is permanent.
You don't need both sides to be exactly the same length. The aim is to achieve a comfortable fit with the clasp sitting correctly on the underside of your wrist.
3. Install the Deployant Clasp
Insert the spring bar through the final hole of the trimmed strap and secure it into the deployant clasp.
Use the spring bar tool supplied with your CTS strap set to make installation easier.
Make sure the clasp is positioned correctly and follows the natural curve of your wrist.
Check the Fit
Close the clasp and check how the strap feels on your wrist.
If it feels slightly loose, you can remove another segment and fine-tune the fit. Trim one segment at a time until the strap sits comfortably and the clasp is properly centred.

Things to Avoid
Cutting too much at once
Start conservatively. You can always remove another segment.
Trying to make both sides identical
Your wrist doesn't need to be perfectly symmetrical. Focus on comfort and clasp position.
Cutting without testing the fit
Always test the strap around your wrist before making your first cut.

Are CTS straps compatible with all watches?
Compatibility depends on the watch and lug width. Check the product specifications before ordering to make sure you select the correct size.
What if I cut too much?
The cut is permanent, which is why we recommend trimming one segment at a time and testing the fit before making additional cuts.
Can I use another clasp?
Made Straps CTS straps are designed to work with our deployant clasps. Third-party clasps may not be compatible.
Will FKM rubber stretch?
FKM rubber is highly resistant to stretching and deformation, helping the strap maintain its shape during regular wear.
Can I wear my CTS strap in water?
Yes. FKM rubber is well suited to water, sweat and saltwater, making it a practical choice for everyday and active wear.
